Oddly enough, I believe my professional training in elementary and early childhood education prepared me well for being a general contractor. Teachers are generalists; a good general contractor shares this trait. Teachers and General Contractors must excel at orchestrating a plethora of resources to exceed the expectations of their clients. Both must also enjoy investigating subjects both familiar and unfamiliar to come up with solutions to vexing problems – and then be able to communicate these solutions to their clients and professional resources.
I grew up working on my family’s ski lodge, learning the basics of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, masonry and landscaping. I took this knowledge up a notch to build my own home, and then constructed the High Lonesome Hut. I established M3 in 1999, specializing in building maintenance. I grew frustrated with the quality of construction I found in many structures, motivating M3’s redirection to an emphasis in building homes and effecting remodels.
I am also passionate about public recreation facility development – believing pedestrian assets can be constructed for a reasonable price. This belief has been substantiated by the completion of several local trail and infrastructure projects.
I enjoy long relationships with our local trades. Sub-contractors are a critical part of the team building your home. I have forged long-standing professional relationships with the group of locally-based, highly skilled tradesmen who will ensure all parts of your project meet your expectations.
